Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is partnering with two of its vendors, Niagara Bottling and Silver Springs Bottled Water, to raise funds to help veterans injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. For a limited time, the grocery chain is offering specially wrapped 24-packs of Winn-Dixie brand spring water and purified water to benefit Wounded Warrior Project. For every 24-pack of bottled water sold, 10 cents will be donated to the organization, up to a total of $100,000. The bottles’ packaging features imagery of the U.S. flag, a bald eagle, and the Wounded Warrior Project’s logo of a warrior carrying a wounded comrade. The 24-packs of bottled water sell for $2.99 and are now available in all of the grocer’s stores.
