Price Chopper Donates Thousands of Free Flu Shots Throughout Its Communities

Schenectady, N.Y. – In an effort to help members of communities within its corporate footprint who would like to get a flu shot but cannot afford to do so, Price Chopper Supermarkets is supplying several human service agencies with thousands of vaccine vouchers at no cost.

Price Chopper has provided United Way organizations and other agencies with vouchers which, when presented at any of chain’s more than 70 pharmacies, will enable the bearer to receive a free flu shot. Staff members at those organizations are distributing the vouchers to needy individuals within their service areas.

“We are grateful to be assisted by our longtime partners at the United Way, and by the leaders of other important community organizations, who are helping us get our flu shot vouchers into the hands of those who need them most.” said Mona Golub, vice president of Public Relations and Consumer & Marketing Services at Price Chopper.
