Gourmet Salt Grinders

Frontier Natural Products Co-op, introduces Gourmet Salt Grinders, a line of five natural gourmet salts from a vari­ety of coastal and moun­tain­ous areas.

Hawai­ian Black Salt fea­tures earthy and smoky notes that pair well with sal­ads, steamed veg­eta­bles, fish and eggs; Hawai­ian Red Salt is noted for its earthy and slightly sweet fla­vors that pair well with grilled or roasted meats and pasta casseroles; Himalayan Pink Salt is prized for its purity and nuanced with trace ele­ments from the Himalayan peaks; New Zealand Sea Salt is har­vested from the clear waters of the South Pacific and pairs well with pret­zels, baked pota­toes and grilled veg­eta­bles; and Alder Smoked Salt is a New Zealand sea salt rich with robust and smoky fla­vors from alder wood that pairs well with any grilled food, espe­cially aspara­gus, pork, ribs and burgers.

The 3.2– to 3.5-ounce bot­tles have a sug­gested retail of $6.49, with the alder smoked with an SRP $6.79.

Fron­tier has also intro­duced Fair Trade Cer­ti­fied organic whole cloves, gin­ger root pow­der and cin­na­mon sticks from Sri Lanka to its other Fair Trade Cer­ti­fied Sri Lankan spices. The cin­na­mon has a sug­gested retail of $5.19 per 0.85-ounce bot­tle; whole cloves, $7.39, 1.38-ounce; and gin­ger, $6.69, 1.31-ounce.
