Mann Packing is teaming up with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series to feature its award-winning Stringless Sugar Snap Peas at two major race events this fall in Virginia Beach and San Antonio.
With more than 471,500 participants, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is the world’s largest running series, covering 24 major markets in North America and three international destinations., and creating a festival-like atmosphere when it comes to town – combining running, music and fun, at a two-day health and fitness expo, along with options including a marathon, half marathon, relays, wheelchair invitational and elite athlete invitational. There are live bands along the racecourse and a post race concert. The series raised more than $256 million for charity in 2011.
In addition to Sugar Snap Pea sampling, Mann will distribute future-purchase coupons to more than 35,000 attendees and have the opportunity to conduct grassroots marketing about the benefits of Mann’s product line, says Elena Hernandez, marketing and communication specialist.
“The demographics of the race participants align perfectly with our target market,” Hernandez says. “Our products appeal to active, health-minded individuals.”
Mann will be featured in Competitor Magazine, distributed regionally (55,000 circulation) and in regional and local print advertisement, along with the official event guide and official marathon website presence.
