Superior Rankings in Food Safety for Dulcich/Sunlight

For the seventh year in a row, Jakov P. Dulcich and Sons has scored a superior ranking in food safety. In the last few years, Primus Labs added Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards to its audits. The ranking applies to both field and cold storage operations with audit scores reaching nearly 100% across the board.

Sunlight International Sales is the marketing arm of J.P. Dulcich and Sons. According to Gail Gill, Sunlight’s sales coordinator and the food safety manager for Dulcich, Primus Labs was chosen for its stellar reputation in food safety certification under GFSI guidelines. According to the Primus website, the GFSI is a business-driven initiative for the continuous improvement of food safety management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers worldwide. GFSI provides a platform for collaboration between some of the world’s leading food safety experts from retailer, manufacturer and food service companies, service providers associated with the food supply chain, international organizations, academia and government.

According to Nick Dulcich, President of Sunlight International Sales, “These rankings demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards in all phases of our operations. As our founder and my father will often remind us, ‘Seek excellence in all that you do.’”

Jakov P. Dulcich and Sons, combined with Sunlight International Sales, is a progressive grower, packer and shipper of Premium California Table Grapes. They continually seek new and innovative ways to market California Table Grapes and are constantly researching and introducing new varieties to their product lines.

For the last few years, the Primus Labs certification has met or exceeded GFSI guidelines. Primus Labs is a global leader in food safety and has been serving the industry for more than two decades.
