SHOP ‘n SAVE, an independently owned and operated grocery chain with more than 90 stores in Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio and West Virginia, officially launched its new mobile-optimized website today. Specifically designed for mobile devices, the new site can be accessed by visiting the SHOP ‘n SAVE website on any smart phone or tablet. The mobile site will allow consumers to view the weekly circular, locate stores, load e-coupons directly to their Perks Card, view recipes and build shopping lists all within an easy to use and reader-friendly interface.
SHOP ‘n SAVE is one of the first local grocery retailers to provide customers with a mobile website for accessing valuable information for shopping decisions, say company officials. The mobile website differs from mobile applications because users wont need to download anything from an app store and can directly access the most relevant on-the-go information by visiting SHOP ‘n SAVE’s website via smart phone or tablet.
“The independent retailers of SHOP ‘n SAVE pride themselves on providing consumers with great value and the best tools to save money,” says Bill Lipsky, Director of Merchandising for SUPERVALU, which supplies the independently owned and operated SHOP ‘n SAVE stores. “By creating a mobile website, we are providing our customers a convenient, valuable tool to help them save time and money when shopping for groceries.”
SHOP ‘n SAVE partnered with Gatesman+Dave, its long time advertising agency to develop a mobile website to best fit its shoppers needs. “We expect by 2014 more than half of SHOP ‘n SAVE’s web traffic will be coming from a smart phone or tablet,” says Paul Magnani, interactive director, partner, Gatesman+Dave. “We worked with SHOP ‘n SAVE to create a mobile site that serves as the ultimate tool for consumers to easily access the most important information needed for their shopping experience.”
