Well-Pict Berries has launched its “Pinning is Slimming” promotion on Pinterest. Through June 30, Pinners can re-pin their favorite recipe from any of four of Well-Pict’s specially marked boards. Entrants then comment on the original recipe they chose to re-pin. All participants are entered into a drawing for a $100 grocery gift card.
“Well-Pict has a rich history in promoting fresh fruits and vegetables as alternatives to sugary snacks,” says Dan Crowley, sale manager. “This promotion allows our consumers to share recipes with each other, and compare tips and ideas for putting healthy foods on the table.”
To further their efforts, Well-Pict Berries is a proud sponsor of the Produce For Kids Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign. Through June 26, a portion of all sales from Meijer Stores will be contributed to the annual donation.
“We’re proud to partner with Meijer stores and Produce for Kids for this exciting campaign,” says Crowley. “When the opportunity presented itself to be a part of a program that both promotes healthy foods for kids and financially benefits children’s charities, we couldn’t possibly say no.”
Since its creation in 2002 Produce for Kids campaigns have raised more than $4.2 million for children’s non-profit organizations including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Let’s Move Salad Bars To Schools and PBS KIDS among others. All funds raised directly benefit these partner organizations.
“We’re excited to be hosting the 11th annual Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Meijer stores,” says Trish James, Vice President at Produce for Kids. “Together with partners, like Well Pict Berries, we’re able to raise funds to support kids in need while also promoting the incorporation of fresh produce into the lives of families.”
