Ball Park Brand Calls on Consumers to “Pledge Allegiance to the Grill”

To pay tribute to one of our nation’s most cherished past times – summer grilling – Ball Park brand is calling on fans everywhere to show off why their #grillworthy barbecues are “So American.”

The maker of beef hot dog and Flame Grilled Patties announced the launch of its “Pledge Allegiance to the Grill” social contest, a multi-platform program calling on grillmasters everywhere to share photos of their “So American” barbecues – and compete for star-spangled prizes. Building upon the brand’s new national advertising campaign, So American You Can Taste It, the contest brings to life the bliss of grilling up a juicy Ball Park hot dog during the summertime months.

“The smoky smell of charcoal… the sizzling sound of a juicy hot dog heating up on the barbecue… the delicious taste of a perfectly grilled dog.  At Ball Park brand, we believe that this is our nation at its finest. Through the ‘Pledge Allegiance to the Grill’ contest, we’re shining a light on the men and women – call them every day patriots – who make our nation a better place by feeding their loved ones delicious #grillworthy food,” says Timothy Smith, vice president of marketing, Ball Park brand. “We’re calling on fans everywhere to share photos showing why their summertime feasts are ‘So American’ that they make you want to stand up and salute that grilling season is here.”

Now through July 26, fans are encouraged to share a photo everyday showcasing why their barbecue is “So American,” featuring a grilled Ball Park hot dog. Entries into the contest can be submitted via three Ball Park brand social channels including:

  • Facebook – “Like” the Ball Park brand on Facebook and enter the photo submission via the “Pledge Allegiance to the Grill” tab;
  • Twitter – Follow @BallParkBrand on Twitter and tweet the photo submission including @BallParkBrand and the hashtag #grillworthy in the tweet; and
  • Instagram – Post the photo submission on Instagram and include the hashtag #grillworthy and @BallParkBrand in the caption

In celebration of barbecues, America and the glory of biting into a perfectly grilled hot dog, Ball Park brand has created the “American Dream for the Grillmaster… Realized.” This grand prize package of patriotism includes a top-of-the-line grill, star-spangled grilling accessories, and a $650 grocery gift card. Additionally, four weekly winners will be selected to win the ultimate #grillworthy prize pack complete with grill time essentials.
