The National Grocers Association (NGA) has sold out its enhanced Trading Partners Business Sessions (TPBS) with over fifty retailer, wholesaler, manufacturer and supplier companies participating in 230 pre-arranged senior level meetings.
This program, which is invitation only for NGA members, provides a professional setting for members to meet current and potential trading partners. The TPBS meetings are being held in conjunction with the NGA Board of Directors fall meeting along with numerous member share group meetings October 3-4 in at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago, Ill.
“With over $130 billion in annual sales the independent grocery channel represents a large share of the market for CPG companies and service suppliers.” says Peter J. Larkin, President & CEO, NGA. “By bringing together retailers and their wholesalers with their trading partners, NGA is able to enhance industry relationships and facilitate conversations that enhance our members’ operations and bottom lines.”
Participant meetings will fit into one of two formats. One-to-one meetings provide participants with an opportunity to conduct 30-minute meetings with preferred partners to engage in dialogue on current marketplace dynamics, review joint business plans and discuss mutual goals and objectives. One-to-many presentations allow CPG manufacturers, service providers, and suppliers an exclusive opportunity to present to a large group of retailers and wholesalers on key category insights as well as branded tools, resources and product solutions for the benefit of the independent retail channel.
Retailer and wholesaler participants will be key c-suite leadership as well as senior merchandising, marketing, and operations executives. Supplier participants will primarily include sales, customer, and business development executives.
