Southern Imperial has release a white paper with the findings from a case study involving the NEXT Merchandising System. The study highlighted the effectiveness and results achieved using NEXT in the areas of shelf management, brand positioning, facing allocation and product pack-out.
In general, it was found that using the NEXT Merchandising System could help a retailer gain 24% to 32% more merchandise space due to product reorganization. Significant increases in the SKU counts were achieved in smaller spaces, making more efficient use of the valuable retail real estate available. Customers benefited from a more organized and cohesive layout featuring enhanced product depth and merchandising, which in turn would drive increased sales.
