Giant Food Stores Launch Giant Pick Up Service

GIANT Food Stores announces the launch of its new GIANT Pick Up service in four of its Pennsylvania stores in partnership with leading internet grocer and sister company, Peapod.

Shoppers can now order their groceries online through for easy pick up at the GIANT Food Stores located at 3301 Trindle Road in Camp Hill, 2300 Linglestown Road in Harrisburg, 1201 Knapp Road in Montgomeryville and 315 York Road in Willow Grove. GIANT Pick Up replaces Shop from Home, which was previously available to customers at Willow Grove and Camp Hill.

“Our customers are busier than ever and we want to provide them with a better place to shop by giving them options to shop that is most convenient to their lifestyle,” says Jeff Beaulieu, vice president, sales and merchandising. “GIANT Pick Up is a flexible and affordable alternative for customers to quickly pick up their groceries in the midst of other errands. We are excited to partner with Peapod to leverage their online grocery expertise in bringing GIANT Pick Up to our customers.”

To take advantage of GIANT Pick Up, shoppers visit or the Peapod app on their smartphone where they enter their zip code. Once there, they can add items to their cart, select a payment method and then choose a convenient one hour pick-up time any day of the week. There is no fee for the service and no minimum purchase required. Manufacturer coupons are accepted and doubled and customers will be prompted to enter at the time of payment. When customers arrive at their designated Pick Up, an attendant is waiting to put the bags directly into their car.

In addition, shoppers can create personal lists, read nutritional information online, sort products rapidly by price or by nutrition criteria and take advantage of thousands of weekly specials. GIANT customers can even shop from a list of items they have bought at their local store simply by entering their GIANT BonusCard number online. They can also earn Gas Extra Rewards and A+ School Rewards on their pick-up orders.
