Chicken of the Sea Donates to Philippines Typhoon Relief

To help in the relief efforts associated with Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, Chicken of the Sea has donated $250,000 in packaged seafood.

The San Diego, Calif.-based company, which in 2014 celebrates its 100th anniversary, donated several hundred cases of tuna and other seafood to provide much-needed protein to those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, a powerful tropical cyclone that ravaged the Philippines and other portions of Southeast Asia.

“The hearts of all of us at Chicken of the Sea go out to the thousands of citizens of the Philippines that were affected by this disaster,” says Christie Fleming, SVP Marketing of Chicken of the Sea.
