Hidden Villa Brands To Host Non-GMO Panel & Breakfast at Expo West

imageHidden Villa Brands (a division Hidden Villa Ranch) will host a gourmet breakfast at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 7 at Morton’s to coincide with Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif. The buffet breakfast will feature Hidden Villa Brand’s Horizon Organic Eggs, The Country Hen organic eggs and cage-free, non-GMO NestFresh eggs in custom omelets made to order, along with sliced beef tenderloin, smoked salmon, fruit, french toast, pastries and mimosas.

A panel presentation will take place from 9-9:30 a.m., on the current state of non-GMO food labeling and challenges facing the industry. Experts on the panel include: Michael Besancon, director of Essential Living Foods and former vice president of purchasing, marketing and distribution at Whole Foods Market; Caroline Kinsman, communications manager for the Non-GMO Project; and Laura Batcha, CEO and executive director of The Organic Trade Association. The panel will be moderated by founding member of The Organic Center, Anthony Zolezzi, who will also take questions from attendees.

“Non-GMO egg products should be more accessible,” says Michael Sencer, executive vice president of Hidden Villa Ranch. “Bringing together advocates in the industry furthers our commitment to non-GMO.”

NestFresh cage-free eggs is the first nationally distributed egg line to receive the Non-GMO Project Verified seal from the Non-GMO Project and is the only egg brand to offer liquid and dry egg products that are also Non-GMO Project Verified for retail, food service and manufacturing, company officials say.

Morton’s is adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center at 1895 South Harbor Blvd. The private event is open to retailers by invitation only.  For reservation inquiries, please contact Brandy Gamoning at 800-326-3220, ext. 2326. To learn more about Hidden Villa Brands, visit booth No. 2378.
