Land O’Frost Introduces Heart-Healthy Lunchmeats

SimplyDelicious(FamPic)2014Land O’Frost has announced the launch of a heart-healthy lunchmeat line, Simply Delicious. The entire line of pre-packaged lunchmeats is certified by the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check Food Certification Program.

The Simply Delicious line was developed to make it easier for consumers to shop and eat smart, with 97-98% fat free products that meet the American Heart Association’s nutrition requirements for heart-healthy foods, say company officials.

“As a third generation family-owned company, we know first-hand how important it is to provide our customers with an array of healthy options for all ages,” says Keith Hill, director of brand management at Land O’Frost. “By offering not just one or two, but a full line of, American Heart Association-certified lunchmeats, we believe Simply Delicious can help families achieve their healthy eating goals without sacrificing taste.”

Simply Delicious’ elegant, clear 13-ounce package enables customers to quickly see and identify the quality of the product. All Simply Delicious products feature the familiar red and white Heart-Check mark. The Heart-Check mark, the front-of-package white and red icon of the American Heart Association’s Food Certification Program, has been helping shoppers select healthier foods since 1995.

At just 50 calories per 1.8-ounce serving, Simply Delicious products offer many other important attributes that help consumers meet their goals, such as no by products, no artificial flavors, extra lean, gluten free and no hormones added, say officials.

The line features six varieties: Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Black Forest Ham and Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast, as well as Honey Roasted Turkey Breast, Honey Cured Ham and Slow Roasted Beef.

Land O’Frost is already experiencing strong demand for the products from consumers in the Southwest, Northwest, Southeast and Midwest regions with plans to expand distribution nationwide, say officials.
