Crunch Pak Teams Up with Marvel Entertainment

Crunch Pak launched a new assortment of products featuring Marvel Entertainment Super Heroes. Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s The Avengers are featured on packages of fresh sliced apples now shipping to grocery stores nationwide. “The Marvel Super Heroes represent an active lifestyle as they embody aspirational attributes like responsibility and discipline,” says Michael Jerchower, director of licensing for Marvel. “Being able to pair our exciting characters with fresh produce is a natural fit and these new products are a hit with kids and families.” The relationship between Marvel and Crunch Pak reaches boys ages 6-10 years old, who need fresh options in the healthy snacks category. Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Crunch Pak, says, “The fit with Marvel is perfect for our category. We want to encourage kids of all ages to increase consumption of fruits and vegetables. This wide array of well- known and much loved characters delivers excitement at the store level.” Crunch Pak created custom designed packages for Marvel characters, with the first packages shipping in Q1 and full roll out by Q4 2014. The new Snackers line are available at most grocery supermarkets nationwide; the suggested retail price is from $1.99 to $2.29.
