California Giant Berry Farms has announced its latest consumer co-promotion, the Skinny Summertime Sweepstakes, with fellow fresh brand SUNSET Produce. By capitalizing on the word “skinny,” a nutrition buzzword that is growing in popularity amongst consumers, the strawberry grower hopes to reach a large group of consumers seeking to be inspired by fresh fruits and vegetables this summer season.
The sweepstakes is designed to not only provide entrants with multiple opportunities to win great prizes, but also to deliver exclusive recipes to all hungry consumers who enter. Working with prominent food bloggers, California Giant has emailed weekly recipes created by the bloggers to entrants since Memorial Day and will continue through the July 4th weekend. All recipes consist of a “skinny” way to enjoy fresh berries and range from sides and salads to dips and desserts with a focus on summer cooking trends such as no-bake and grilling options.

The promotion offers a plethora of prizes giving people the chance to win on a weekly basis. Prizes include weekly drawings for $100 Visa gift cards and a grand prize giveaway of a $1,000 airline voucher and $500 gift card from globalhotelcards.com with which to plan the perfect summer getaway.
