PBH Kicks Off Colors of Summer Contest

PBH FacebookProduce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) kicked off the Colors of Summer consumer contest this week on the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Facebook page.

A different color group of fruit and vegetables will be highlighted each week during July, and consumers will be encouraged to submit their favorite fruit or veggie recipe. One random winner will be chosen each week to receive a prize pack consisting of gift cards, and packages of fruit and vegetables courtesy of Stemilt Growers and Domex Superfresh Growers.

“We are excited to share another fun contest with our Facebook fans as we enter the heart of summer,” says Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., R.D., president and CEO of PBH. “Our fans are always providing great feedback, uploading vibrant pictures of meals complete with fruit and vegetables, interested in our content, and engaged in conversations that are a natural extension to our public relation and communication strategies.  This contest is a fun way to continue to engage our fans, increase our following, and celebrate the bountiful and colorful selection of fruit and vegetables simultaneously.”

The Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Facebook page provides tips, resources, recipes and other useful information to educate consumers, as well as a platform for fans to share, like and post their fruit and vegetable related stories. PBH launched its Fruits & Veggie—More Matters Facebook page in June 2009. The page currently has over 322,000 likes reflecting the brand’s strong presence on Facebook and the expansion across other social media platforms including, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
