The National Pork Board wants consumers to bring pork to the party this holiday season.
A new fourth-quarter promotion positions pork roast as a versatile option for entertaining that works as an elegant entrée for special family dinners or as a festive appetizer for parties. The promotion features a consumer brochure with easy recipes for fun nibbles like mini kabobs and sliders, as well as more traditional show stopping pork loins and tenderloins.
Other in-store point-of-sale elements include a poster, meat case sign and coupon for $1 off a pork roast purchase. The materials feature mouthwatering photos of pork roasts ready for any celebration.
According to Patrick Fleming, director of retailer marketing for the National Pork Board, “This fourth quarter promotion is all about reminding consumers how versatile pork is for entertaining. Pork roasts are perfect for the center of the holiday table, but they also make easy, exciting appetizers. The message is that pork is delicious, convenient and offers lots of choices for consumers.”
