Straight from the Kettle

KettleChipsWith three decades of innovation expertise and 40 popular products to show for it, Kettle Brand is pushing flavor boundaries again this summer. Known for pioneering flavors on the cusp of culinary trends, such as Buffalo Bleu, Honey Dijon and Spicy Thai, the brand is expanding its line of kettle-cooked potato chips to include two new creations: Maple Bacon and Sweet & Salty.

“Over the past 30 years, we’ve closely tracked trends from around the world, tested thousands of product prototypes and even conducted a national survey on Americans’ taste preferences,” says Carolyn Ottenheimer, Kettle Brand’s Chief Flavor Architect of 13 years. “As with our first-of-its kind Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper in 1999 or Cheddar Beer, one of our first People’s Choice chip selections in 2005, these two distinct new flavors embody the preferences of today’s consumer and have the potential to become timeless classics.”

Both new flavors have been in development for over nine months, and the final seasoning combinations were selected from hundreds of prototypes. Extensive testing – a hallmark of Kettle Brand’s innovation process – ensures each new product has the perfect balance of flavors Kettle Brand fans expect and love.

Verified by the Non-GMO Project, both new flavors reflect the company’s commitment to delivering bold, original chips made with all-natural ingredients, and like all Kettle Brand products, are cooked in pure, all-natural oils for a hearty crunch.

Kettle Brand Maple Bacon – Building on one of the most talked about recent food trends – bacon – this natural match combines the smokiness of bacon, the sweetness of real maple syrup and the spice of chili pepper for a truly iconic comfort food

Kettle Brand Sweet & Salty – These sweet and savory chips strike the perfect balance by pairing natural sea salt and cane sugar with golden, crunchy potatoes to create a sweetness capable of satisfying salty cravings and sweet tooths alike.

Kettle Brand Maple Bacon and Sweet & Salty chips will be available in grocery and natural food stores beginning this summer in 5-ounce bags for the SRP of $2.69 and 8.5-ounce bags for the SRP of $3.49.
