Tillamook Earns Seven Awards

TillamookCHeeseTillamook earned seven awards across multiple dairy categories including cheese, sour cream, butter and yogurt, at the 2013 American Cheese Society Conference.

The Oregon farmer-owned cooperative received first place recognition for their Marionberry Light Yogurt, their Vintage White Extra Sharp 3 Year Reserve Cheddar and their Premium Sour Cream. “We are proud of these recent awards as it is a reflection that our brand consistently makes great-tasting, award-winning dairy products” says Jay Allison, vice president of sales and marketing.

Tillamook Light Yogurt is naturally sweetened with Truvia sweetener and contains real Marionberries from the Pacific Northwest creating a uniquely sweet and tart flavor, while Tillamook Vintage White Extra Sharp Cheddar is aged naturally over 3 years to perfect its refined bold taste, say company officials.

Tillamook also placed in the following categories:

  • Colby Cheese was awarded 2nd place in the American Originals Colby category;
  •  Salted Sweet Cream Butter was awarded 2nd place in the Salted Butter with or without cultures made from cow’s milk category;
  • Natural Sour Cream was awarded 2nd place in the Cultured Products made from cow’s milk category; and
  • Medium Cheddar Cheese was awarded 3rd place in the Aged up to 12 months cheddar made from cow’s milk category.
