More Massive Mobile Peanuts To Hit The Road With Mr. Peanut

Kraft Foods Group Inc Planters NUTmobileThe iconic Mr. Peanut updated his wardrobe last year. This year he is updating his wheels.  Mr. Peanut is riding in style like never before as Planters, the American snack nut brand, unleashes its new NUTmobile vehicle fleet onto the roads of America.

The Planters NUTmobile Tour kicks off in June 2014 with two new NUTmobile vehicles expanding the mobile fleet to three. The expansion reflects a commitment to fan feedback as more and more peanut lovers are demanding a Mr. Peanut presence where they live and work, company officials say.

“During the first year of the NUTmobile Tour we found out just how much people enjoyed a visit from the NUTmobile and Mr. Peanut,” says Peter Cotter, senior brand manager. “We listened to our loyal fans and have built two more NUTmobiles allowing more peanut fans nationwide to harness the power of the peanut.”

All three NUTmobiles will be traveling to cities across the country with Mr. Peanut and three teams of Planters Peanutters behind the wheel. Planters Peanutters, drivers of the Planters NUTmobile vehicles and Mr. Peanut chauffers, will make appearances at special events and locations, conduct media interviews, and hand out samples of Planters peanuts on the road during the year-long, coast-to-coast tour.

The new mobile peanuts are also bigger than ever at 27-feet long, 11-feet tall and 8-feet wide.
