Quenching My Summer Thirst
This July has been sweltering, but lucky for me a few companies decided to send me samples of their delicious beverages to help keep me hydrated.
Califia Farms sent over some samples of its almond milks, dairy-free creamers and cold brew coffee. I first tried Califia Farms’ products about a year ago, and I can honestly say it is the only nut milk I have ever liked. I was excited to try their new Coconut Cream and Almond Milk Creamers, which now also come in hazelnut and vanilla flavors. Both flavors were delicious and I was glad I had them to pair with the cold brew coffee. I am sensitive to coffee and Califia’s coffee is super strong, but it tastes so great with the creamers that I couldn’t get enough.
Milo’s Tea sent me an array of iced teas and lemonades. I had never tried their products before because they are refrigerated and can’t easily be shipped from the south to New York. All of the products were super refreshing and tasted great, and Milo’s also recently launched an organic line that I got to try. I even created a chicken marinade with the sweet tea by pairing it with rosemary, garlic and onion. We threw the chicken on the grill and it was a hit with everybody. I would highly recommend it.
Brew Dr. Kombucha let me try pretty much all of their flavors. Their newest flavor is on-trend Mango Habanero, which has a delicious kick. They also offer a trendy turmeric flavor, which I loved because I could taste the turmeric without it being too overpowering. Though my favorite flavor by far is Love, which is a combo of lavender and jasmine.
